Delhi Businessman Killed his staff and dumped the body at the Metro station
A 36yr old man named Prembir, who is a clothing store owner of Sarojini Nagar was arrested today on an account of first-degree murder. He along with his nephew named Pavinder (21yrs) and his nephew’s friend Rohit (22yrs) killed one of his employees.
The deceased Shamsher khan (22yrs) who was from Jharkhand was working in Prembir’s store and had a sexual relationship with him. Shamsher was blackmailing Prembir with videos and pictures which he had recorded and captured during their intimate moments and now was extorting money with those videos.
According to the confession of the accused, he felt threatened and decided to murder the deceased. Prembir was already married with 2 kids and couldn’t afford his family and friends to know about the affair.
To execute the plan successfully he called his nephew along with his friend from Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. According to the reports of the Delhi police, Pavinder and Rohit Reached Delhi on the 28th of January and were staying at a guest house in Yusuf Sarai. The very same day Prembir asked Shamsher to come to the guest house where all three of them strangled him with a nylon rope they found in the guest house.
After the killing of Mr. khan, they removed his jacket, wallet, phone, and shoes to fit his dead body in a trolley bag which they dumped near the metro station. Prembir after dumping the body threw away his personal belongings in Uttam Nagar then all of them returned back to their respective homes.
Delhi police received information about an unidentified dead body found near Sarojini Nagar metro station covered in a plastic bag on the 29th of January. Though no personal belongings were found at the spot, through further investigations the police were able to identify the dead body to be Shamsher khan.
After linking the dots they were able to arrest the 3 accused in the case. The investigators revealed that Prembir had been planning the murder for weeks and was about to execute it on January 19th but due to the Republic day celebration they postponed the plan to late January.
Extortion and blackmail is serious crime in the country and all over the world, only if Prembir had reported it instead of taking matters into his own hands and ending a young life, he wouldn't be in jail today. He was afraid that his affair would become known to others and it has today. He not only ended Mr.khan’s life but also his own. He had a family whose future is now compromised because of his rash decision and now he cannot do anything to make a difference. His kids would grow up to know that their father is a murderer.
We often rush into decisions, but decisions made when we are angry or sad lead us to regrets. Sometimes certain situations can be handled with a sane mind but only because of fear, anger, and frustration we end up causing trouble not only to others but also to our own selves.
