Sexual Assault of a minor by her own Father & Brother

Rape is just a 4 letters word but it holds the power to mentally and emotionally destroy a women’s life. It takes years to overcome that fear and disgust. 

When a woman is walking alone on the street she will always have a fear inside that something might happen, it does not matter it’s day or night because even though we are living in the 21st century some people are sick enough to sexually assault women if they find them alone.


For a woman to be scared of strangers is normal, to have that fear that she might be sexually assaulted if she roams alone on the streets is also normal but no girl/woman would have that fear in their own home from their own brother and father. It’s shocking that a 16yr old kid was sexually assaulted by her own father and brother for the past 2 yrs in Dharavi, Mumbai.


The victim didn’t speak up because she was scared of her father and her brother, and she decided to confess to her school teacher only because she was scared that they would do the same thing to her younger sister.


The 43yr old man and his 20yr old son were arrested this month and an FIR has been registered under the IPC section 376 (Rape) and provisions of protection of children from sexual offenses act.


The suspects confessed to the crime and are in custody as of now. The girl has been under the supervision of an NGO for children where she is currently undergoing counseling.


It is depressing to even think about it, and a young kid has gone through it all alone for two years. We cannot even imagine the pain she has been through, no child deserves such a childhood. It’s the age where certain acts can either strengthen the mental health of a child or completely destroy it.


How will she ever be able to overcome this memory, with all those questions of why and why with her for which she will never be able to get answers?


At this point what expectations will she have from others when her family is her worst nightmare. The accused should be punished severely not just for this shameful act but also for being a cause of destroying a child’s physical and mental health.

Controversies & Protests regarding the ban of hijab in colleges

A very popular saying is that one thing leads to another, what's required is just a small push. In December a government girls college in Udupi did not allow 6 girls to enter the college because they were wearing hijab. The college officials closed the gate while they tried to enter the college premises and asked them to remove their hijabs. The intention behind the authorities taking such an action was to avoid discrimination on college premises and to avoid following any culture and traditions inside the school but the question here is if you are trying to avoid discrimination then why not ask Punjabis to remove their turban, why not ask Hindus to stop wearing bindis, and tika to college. Every individual has the right to follow their traditions and culture, if someone is not comfortable removing their hijabs or turban they shouldn't be forced to do so. First Successful Transplant of Pig's Heart into Adult Human

It’s a historic breakthrough for scientists and researchers in the field of medicine to be able to transplant a pig’s heart into an adult human. Davit Bennett, a 57yrs old Maryland resident suffering from a life-threatening condition called Arrhythmia underwent a pig heart transplant in January 2022.  He had been hospitalized for weeks and was connected to a heart-lung bypass machine called extracorporeal membrane oxygenation to remain alive.
