The mysterious Serial Killer of California- Zodiac

One of the most haunting and traumatizing experiences for the people of Northern California was the terror of the " Zodiac killer", which started in the late 1960s and had no end to it. He was no normal murderer, taunting the investigative departments, sending encrypted letters with details of the murder, the craving for the spotlight, all while he was killing people as a means of adventure.

It sometimes is difficult to even pick the food we wanna eat, whereas it was an easy task for Zodiac to kill people at random. He is believed to have murdered 5 people and had attempted murder on two. While broadcasting his murders, he even mentioned about a dozen other victims he had killed, which could not be attributed to him officially

He shot his first two victims in the parking lot, and another two seven months later, out of which one survived. When the first two victims were found, the investigative department didn't think of it as a serial killing, when several months later two more victims were attacked, and the attack was informed to the officials by an informer, who also added to have killed the two kids, several months back.

Then began his dirty tactics for the spotlight, sending letters, clues, and even blood-bathed clothes of his victims to the newspapers. He even mentioned him being Zodiac in one of the letters, adding his motives for these killings spree. According to Zodiac, killing people was a fun and thrilling game for him, that's all he could ever think of his victims. 

A serial killer is believed to have no empathy or emotion towards anything. Profiling specialists have even revealed that the victims are just an object in front of these killers, they have the tendency to shut down the emotional part of their brain because of which they tend to become very dangerous and vicious.

These horrible killing sprees still haunt the families of the victims and the investigative officers who are still looking for the man responsible for these killings. All the attempts to find out the name of the zodiac killer were in vain, as it was never discovered and the investigation is still open to date.
